How do you interpret the number though?

I'm trying to execute some JAVA from a WF

The JAVA program doesn't run and I get a exit value of 139, which is useless to me.

How/where can I find the meaning of a returned exit value.

Any debugging ideas are appreciated. Thanks.

Of course the CLT manual would provide all the possible return codes for each CLT, right? They don't? What a shocker - another shortcoming in the documentation.

I am trying to capture the exit status for open deploy CLT using $? . The return codes are documented in opendeploy documentation. Thats where I found out the meanings of exit values.

$? is used for the return status from pipes and backticks (and qx())

If you are using system() - you should use the returned value directly.

my ($results, $status) = ('', 0);

    $results = qx($cmd 2>&1);
