Mac OSX and importing files
mogoo
Is OSX supported at all? None of our Mac users can import. They get the message "Internet Explorer doesn't know how to handle the type of file selected"
...then it mentions
application type: x-Launchpad, and filename: msel_dispatch
How is anybody out there handling this issue? Workarounds, suggestions appreciated.
TS 5.5, SP2, Solaris
Mac OS X, IE 5.2
Thanks,
maureen

To my knowledge MacOS X is not supported. The official support matrix for browsers and versions is on the support site here:

I know we are looking at Mac OSX in the future. That said, you can check out this post for the launchpad issue you discuss:

You can import files - but you can't do it through the web GUI. I find that the Interwoven web app (gui) is very Windows centric ... I doubt it runs on Solaris or anything other than NT/XP. Not the most open web application.
What you can do though to work around this is to use Mac OS X's built in Samba networking. If you have Samba running on your server (or if it's an NT server use Windows Networking from Mac OS X). You can connect to your iwserver share and copy the files over directly from your local machine. The Mac OS X Finder supports connections to most any server (Unix or Windows, and of course other Macs).
