FormAPI - Inserting Replicants?
ThrogMI
We have a requirement to insert an item in a replicant, i.e. create a new instance, when a button is pressed and/or when an option is selected from a pulldown list.
Is this possible, and if so how do I go about it please?

Programmatically adding an additional replicant item is not available in the current FormAPI.
In another post I believe it was suggested that you may be able to use JavaScript to 'click' the + button to create the replicant item. You could try this, but it doesn't sound particularly robust / future proof to me
You may need to come up with a modified approach to solving your problem sorry.

Michael,
Are there any events which fires when clicking on '+' ,moveup, movedown and delete Symbols of replicant?
I have issue like this when ever i am attaching file to replicant i am assing id as replicant number and it is submitting to database.
when ever i am deleting replicant previous replicant number is changing from 2 to 1 but i already assingned id as 2?
Thanx in advance
Michael
I am not sure if I completely understand what you mean:
If you have say a hidden field where you keep track of the replicant order for an item then perhaps on the save event you could iterate through and renumber all your replicant items then?
If you are generating some kind of unique key for the database for your replicant items then you probably don't want to renumber - you would just want to assign a sequential number -- you could store this sequence in a hidden field in the template. In this case it generally shouldn't matter if your replicant item with an id of 2 happened to be the only replicant item -- as long as it is unique.
