tpl error

I have a presentation template which generates a .shtml files as the output.I include a header.html in the presentation template.When i do a preview it does not include the header.html but says "error processing this directive"(shtml error).Where should i place this file.Currently it is directly under my WORKAREA/user directory.
Also is there a log file which has these shtml errors

I think we have this installed.But were should my includes reside.Should it necessarily reside in my doc root or can i place it some where in my WORKAREA.I want to be able to place my includes in the workarea

they should live in the same spot as the rest of your pages

so if you have a docroot in your workarea called htdocs

you would have for example.

htdocs/index.shtml
htdocs/includes/header.inc
htdocs/includes/footer.inc

Basically just reference your includes as you would any other page inside teamsite.

Templating.cfg will direct your temporary shtml file location. You *may* be better with a absolute path. IE /root/includes/yourfile.html
