Can I have my presentation template create the output file name from a data field in a data capture form?

Yes, but I believe the resultant file will not automatically get the correct EAs associated with it. Generally this is done via a workflow process that might pick up the name from the EAs or field data in the DCR and then use that information when issuing the iwgen or iwpt_compile.ipl command line. If you want to code it into the PT itself, you have to be prepared for the fact that the command line executed to run the PT *must* have a filename associated with it, and that file *will* [i believe] be created - but you can make use of things like iw_ostrream to siphon off all the content into a differently named file (which as I said at the beginning, will *not* have the EA's associated with it to indicate that it is a generated file)
