templatedata naming
rpjoseph
I have been having some issues publishing content from a new branch. I noticed today from another problem trying to save content that the directory has different case than the corresponding directory in templatedata.
The branch - default\main\companyName\Intranet\AdminWEB has DCR's in individual workareas in templatedata\AdminWeb\General\data.
Notice the case in AdminWEB and AdminWeb. -- Will this cause problems?
I tried to rename but could not? Do I need to? If so - how?
Thank you

FIrst what OS ? Solaris is case sensitive, windows is not.
That may not even matter, except for the case in templating.cfg.

IT appears that your branch is named AdminWEB while the template category is AdminWeb. Perfectly legal in Solaris or WIndows. Though in Solaris you will need to be certain templating.cfg reflects the case of the category (AdminWeb) and the case of the branch (if you use the branch directive)
Could this be confusing ? Yup. is it perfectly legal ? Yup.
DOn't know why you could not do a file -> rename form the TS GUI. Should work. Be certain that you have everything checked in and submit the changes.
Again, if you rename, other files that use this info may need to be changed.
Probably not worth it.
