DBI error

Hi.
Our DCR Content contains some multi-linual(portuguese) characters. When i try to insert these values into database using Perl/DBI i'm getting the following error:

But when i try this SQL statement from the SQL Plus command prompt it works just fine. Could there be any encoding problems?

Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

I got the same error once... It was due to a new line character('\n'). make sure that the INSERT statement doesn't have any extra new line characters.
