formapi and extended attributes?

is there any way to set extended attributes through formapi?
maybe durincg dcr edition or in the window to set metadata?
is it possilbe to read dcr values from the window in which you set metadata?

Can you provide a more detailed description of what you are trying to accomplish? Be specific about whether you are trying to set/read extended attributes on the DCR or a file generated from the DCR.
