attach multiple files in webdesk
Kay
Hi Folks,
I have a requirement which asks for allowing users of webdesk to attach multiple files to the workflow from on one click to attach existing files button like we do in webdesk pro. Can some one let me know if anyone has addressed this problem if yes how? I would really appreciate your suggestions, thoughts and help.
Thanks in advance!

Are you talking about selecting multiple files in the TeamSite GUI, then launching a job (Submit - since that's the only means available within WebDesk) and having those pre-selected files be associated with the job?
That should work the same way regardless of whether you are using WebDesk or WebDeskPro - it's a question of how the wft is written (look at the default/author_submit.wft for example coding).
If you're talking about something else - please elaborate.

The 'attach files' windows in WebDesk and WebDeskPro are different.
In WebDesk you have to attach files one by one, and navigate to the file every time. This is very time consuming for large submits over lots of directories.
In WebDeskPro you can navigate to the directories and select all files within the same 'attach files' window.
Is it possible to make this possible in WebDesk too?

I know IWOV is working on improvements to WebDesk right now. You may want to file an enhancement request through tech support. I am not positive whether this is in the list of committed features or not, but support should be able to get you more information.

Where can I find that list of committed features?

IWOV is careful to not overpromise and under-deliver new features in new releases. If you are a customer with a current support contract, you have 2 options. One is to contact your sales representative and have them discuss the features and benefits of the next release. The other option is to contact tech support.
