Generic <template_script> Code?

We have a number of workflow templates that all have fifty lines or so of Perl code inside the <template_script> tag. Almost all of this code is identical in each workflow.

Is there a way of putting this common code into an external Perl script and invoking it from inside the <template_script> tag?

I've tried using

do "mycommoncode.ipl" ;

but that doesn't seem to work. Any hints or tips would be most appreciated - thanks.

You may consider putting the perl code into library modules, and then put "use lib" entry at the top of your script. Then just call the methods in your wf file.
