Is it fair to assume that if you
don't
enter some chinese characters on your first cgi, then your second cgi
does
generate correctly?

Hi msingh,
What is your custom CGI doing with Big5 text ? ... I mean, when you say, you "submit the cgi", what do you mean by this ? ... Is this "submit" as in a TeamSite "Submit" task, and the Chinese characters are submit comments ? ... Please explain more what your custom-cgi is trying to do, perhaps I can pinpoint where the issue is ...

Hi,
Actually i am trying to enter chinese character in my cgi form and then submitting the form. in the next cgi when i am trying to get the values of the cgi form, i don't get the correct chinese data.
Thanks

Try using the escape_form_data() method in TeamSite::CGI_Lite.
Basically, if the string "$unescaped_data" is what you're putting in your CGI form on your first page, then this line may allow you to get an unmolested version of it on your second page:
$escaped_data = $cgi->escape_form_data( $unescaped_data );
Hope that helps
Tom
