text area of templates

I have a situation where users are copying and pasting text from an email into a template (classifieds template). When the HTML is generated from the template, it keeps the font size and type from the email with it. I would like to know how to make the generated HTML always have the same font and size. I have contacted support, but that was not much help. Does anyone know how to do this?
