License for CSSDK?

syim

Do we need to purchase a license for CSSDK 2.0? or it will be part of the TeamSite 6 ?

Where can I find more information about license? Also, where can I find more information about developer server?

Thanks

CS SDK is included with the Developer Suite (formerly known as a developer server). You can find out more about the product here:

http://www.interwoven.com/products/developer_suite/

Because the UITK is built on top of CS SDK, the runtime ships as part of TeamSite. There is a question in the 6.0 installer that asks you for a license key. If you don't plan on using CS, you can just skip this question.

Note that we covered this topic at this morning's webcast. The recording and slides should be available late today at:

Hi Lissa,

I just found out our company does have a developer server. May I know if there is any tech document available so I would know how to set up and make use of a developer server?

Thanks

I'm not sure what information you are looking for, beyond what is covered on the WWW page. DO you have a specific question?

I'm interest in knowing how the Desktop Developer Server License work? Does it allow me to install all of our licensed Interwoven software in my own PC as my own developent environment? Does it require additional cost to the Developer License?

Also I need to know if the production server and the developer server should share the same backing store.

The Desktop Develoer server lets you replicate your production environment on your PC for your use only. It costs ~ $3900 for the Desktop Developer license once you have the Developer Server/Suite license. Typically customers start with a shared Development Server via the Dev Suite/Server license and then as individual developers need their own runtimes they get some Desktop licenses.

I would not share your backing store between Development and Production. Instead I would just make a copy from Prod to Dev to get started.

Hi,

The desktop developer license allows you to install TeamSite and CS SDK on your desktop machine. That license is available as an add-on to the Developer Suite (previously called Developer Server).

I'm not sure about your backing store question. Hopefully someone else will jump in with an answer!
