TeamCode Plugin for WSAD/Eclipse
pacer11
I tried installing and configuring the TeamCode 1.1.0 plugin(Solaris) initially for WSAD version 5.0 and when I went to try to open up a Teamsite Repository logging in with my information and the branch that I would like to map to I get the following message:
Incorrect user name or password
Reason:
RemoteException occured in server thread; nested exception is: java.rmi.UnmarshalException: error unmarshalling arguements; nested exception is:
java.net.MalformedURLException: no protocol: Files/IBM/Webphsere
When I further looked into the log files for my workspace looked at what was being passed in :

I tried installing Eclipse 2.1 on my computer and performing the same steps for the Intergration with TeamCode and the same plugin and I got things to work with Eclipse. It's log file had the following information:
!SESSION Nov 07, 2003 09:43:08.406 ---------------------------------------------
java.version=1.4.1_03
java.vendor=Sun Microsystems Inc.
BootLoader constants: OS=win32, ARCH=x86, WS=win32, NL=en_US

I may be off base, but I am leaning towards the fact that spaces within my IBM Webphsere installation path may be the cause for this.
Has anyone else encountered this or knows a workaround?
In the mean time I guess I could un-install WSAD and reinstall using a different path.
Any Information would be appreciated.

The spaces in the path are exacty the problem. There was a known bug with the jdk used in Eclipse 2.0 regarding this issue that was fixed in 2.1 apparently. You can find info on the bug here:
http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/bugParade/bugs/4496398.html
and
http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/bugParade/bugs/4273532.html
.
We also included this bug in our release notes for TeamCode which can be found here: (look in the plugin section)

Thanks!
I guess I should read the Release notes as oppose to skim through it!!!

Was there ever a fix or patch for this...we are currently experiencing the same problem? I can’t tell my 12+ developers to uninstall and reinstall WASAD.
Thanks in advance!

There are no plans to develop TeamCode or the plug-in further. But Tech Support should be able to tell you whether a particular fix was ever released.
