Workflow error - Area not found

Hello,
I am trying to submit file to the staging area and simultaneously to the workarea of my sub-branch.I am doing this through updatetask , which is a successor task of the submit task.
Please suggest if I am doing wrong or if there is another way of doing this.
I am getting an error :
no workarea found:
bad area: default/main/branchname/sub-branchname/WORKAREA/sub-branch workarea"/
here is the piece of code
Source area is the workarea of my parent branch.

Which part, if either, of the messages are you copying/pasting into your post?

I ask because the error says "bad area: default/.../sub-branchname/WORKAREA/...", but the task definition says "<areavpath v="/default/.../sub-branchnameWORKAREA/..." - i.e. the first does not start with a leading '/' and has a '/' before "WORKAREA", the latter has a leading '/' but seems to be missing a '/' before "WORKAREA"

Also - di you really name a workarea with a space in it "sub-branch workarea" ? There is a definite possibility that this could break things (and it's generally a bad pracitce IMO).

It might help if you enabled workflow debugging and copy/pasted from the instantiated workflow (that way the __TAG__() stuff will show up as it was resolved, and not symbolically).
