is there a chance to set the size of a cgi-task window?

You can do this with JavaScript in your CGI program. Since all IW clients must be IE for various things (FormAPI, VFE, etc.) to work I think you can use IE-specific code, which this may contain:

top.window.moveTo( 0, 0 );

if ( top.window.document.all )
{
top.window.resizeTo( screen.availWidth, screen.availHeight );
}
else if ( top.document.layers || top.document.getElementById )
{
if ( top.window.outerHeight < screen.availHeight
|| top.window.outerWidth < screen.availWidth )
{
top.window.outerHeight = screen.availHeight;
top.window.outerWidth = screen.availWidth;
}
}
