Command line for deployment?
System
Is there a perhaps undocumented command line tool for deploying an index? I can't find a documented tool anywhere! Please help,
Dave

Hi Dave,
It's not clear from your message where you're trying to deploy to. I'm assuming that you're using MetaTagger 3.5 or higher and that you've built indexes in the Studio which have been committed. To deploy those indexes to $DB_HOME ($MT_HOME/conf), which is where all the metatagger indexes need to live to be used, simply login to the Admin gui (
http://mthost:9080/mtadmin
), go to the Server Control Section and Choose "Deploy Indexes." This will display a table of all projects built in the Studio that have been committed. From that table you can choose "Go Live," which will push the indexes out to $DB_HOME and update metatagger.cfg for you automatically. You could also choose to delete the project if needed.
If you've built indexes on the command line, without using the studio, then you need to copy the indexes to $DB_HOME manually. There is no clt for that. You may need to stop the server before you copy the files. After copying the files, you'll need to add the appropriate entry to metatagger.cfg. You can do that in the Admin GUI by going to the "Modify Index Entries" under the "Configuration" folder. From there you can choose to add a completely new entry, or you can make a copy of an existing entry if your new one will be similar.
Please let me know if your problem is different than what I've addressed above.
