TeamDoc? IManage?
System
There is a potential project here that sounds more like traditional document management than content management (scanning old contracts, importing XLS, PDF, Word, etc.) - no templating, very little workflow, not much need for versioning, etc.
Is TeamDoc still a product? The information I can find about it is pretty old. Is IManage the substitute? Anyone using these things, what is the feedback?
Thanks,
-John

TeamDoc died a quick death.
Look for iManage to pick that area up.
Now I wish IW would take some of the stuff written for TD and put it into TS (there were some very cool wizards for deployment, branches, Wfs, etc)

Well they should take this kind of stuff off their website, or at least put a disclaimer around it. That's just embarassing.

You are correct, I have forwarded these links to folks who should be able to correct the out-of-date material. I have also asked someone to comment on the iMan versus TeamDoc position.

Hi John,
iManage WorkSite provides document management capability that replaces and surpasses what we had in TeamDoc. It's a modular product, so you don't have to buy workflow unless you need it. The product information is still on the iManage Web site
www.imanage.com
(it will switch over to the IWOV www site when the merger is complete on Nov 18th).
We removed all the TeamDoc pages from our www site when we EOL'd the product, but we don't scrub our press release archives when we discontinue a product. It's historical documentation and as a public company we need to maintain records of all public announcements.
Let me know if you need additional information.

Thanks - but could you add a disclaimer to the press releases?
As far as additional information - do you have whitepapers or something that shows a feature-by-feature comparison of the Interwoven suite against Documentum? The information on the Interwoven site is pretty glossy (I will check the Imanage site).

If you are looking for this information your best bet is to contact your IWOV sales representative. THey have material on the iManage products as well as the IWOV ones.

I am more interested in technical information and people's experience than with marketing materials. Is anyone using these products together?
