TeamSite::WFsystem

I am trying to instantiate a workflow from a perl script, using TeamSite::WFsystem. I recieve the following error while doing so-
open3: IO:ipe: Can't spawn-NOWAIT: Invalid argument at E:\teamsite\iw-home\iw-
perl\site\5.00503\lib/TeamSite/WFsystem.pm line 284

The platform is Windows and TS5.5.2
The same code works fine on solaris. What might be going wrong?

I've never heard of any problem like this. Just taking a wild stab in the dark here -- I might try replacing the following code in WFsystem.pm (near line 284):

open3(\*WRITEME, \*README, '', $program);

print WRITEME $spec,"\n";
close WRITEME;
my $wfid;
while ()
{
    $wfid .= $_;
}
close README;

with the following code (changes emphasized):

open3(\*WRITEME, \*README, \*DUMMY, $program);

print WRITEME $spec,"\n";
close WRITEME;
my $wfid;
while ()
{
    $wfid .= $_;
}
close README;
close DUMMY;
