Unusual situation in Workflow
Priya_N
I have a peculiar situation / which I would like to share with you all
Consider This scenario
Assume we have an Teamsite server
Also assume we have two branches for two websites (lets say two different company websites)
Lets call the companies as Company one and Company Two
Now company one has an user called company-one-author who will create the pages using templates . Company-one's pages needs to be approved by company-one-admin
Now company two has an user called company-two-author who will create company-two's web pages. Company-two's pages needs to be be approved by company-two-admin.
Now whenever company-one-author generates a page and teiggers an workflow / he has to select an reviewer from a drop down list , which will show up all the people who are admins ( or masters) . Now company-one-author can select the other company's admin as the reviewer .
In this case an totally different user / not even related to your company can approve or reject your companys webpages .
The ideal scenario would be to show only the relevent admin and not all the users listed in the admin or master.uid files.
Does teamsite has any work around for this kind of a scenario ?

A simple solution would be to create new config files with the reviewers for each company listed. Then in the code at the begining of the workflow you can read the branch you are in to determine which company the workflow is being triggered for and hence use the relevant file.
I am sure there are many other ways this could be handled too.

You might look at making your review task a group task instead of a user task. Group tasks work really well with O/S user groups.
