Returning a value from ipl file to workflow

Hi,

From my workflow external task i am calling an ipl file,in that ipl i am doing some functionalities at last i need to return back the result to the workflow task.

is it possible to do like this?

Any suggestion/Any KB so that i can get info about this.

Are you talking about the callback? If so then use
$task->CallBack(0, "Comment");
Or you can use the CLT iwcallback.

If you are meaning you want to return some value so that another task may use this value then you should look into Task and Workflow variables.

before you mention callback, the task has to be initialised as well.

If the value you want to return is more than just a numeric return value you can use a task or job variable.
