cgitask won't open a window
waldemar
I'm puzzled...my cgitask command won't open any window; I tried that with own scripts and the show_env.cgi but nothing happens...
<cgitask name="email_approve" owner="__TAG__('iw_user');" description="Asking for Approval E-Mail just right now..." immediate="t">
__INSERT__("<areavpath v='$area_vpath'/>");
<successors>
<successorset description="hmmm">
<succ v="__INSERT__($user_task_name);" />
</successorset>
</successors>
<command v='show_env.cgi'/>
<timeout v="+000001">
<succ v="__INSERT__($user_task_name);"/>
</timeout>
</cgitask>
Is there a Teamsite configuration issue I am missing here or what? (This is 5.5.2 on W2K)

What task(s) immediately preceed your cgitask?
Is there an option in the Task Options menu to "Start Task" - if so - see if that works.
If it does, it means your cgitasks probably does not meet one of the 3 conditions that allow for immediate="t" to work.

It's a group task that is preceeding this cgitask. The idea is that any one reviewer out of that group can get the ownership and either approve or reject it. Upon approval a popup should show in the reviewers gui to allow for an email to be sent (basically just filling in some body text).
The Start Task thingy worked by opening a window, but this is happening in the gui of the original submitter not of the reviewer. So maybe I just misunderstood what I can really do with that cgitask...
3 conditions?? (The stuff with he ownership?)

How are you setting the ownership of the cgitask?
From your description - the person who claimed ownership of the grouptask would be the one to run the cgitask - but the only way to do that dynamically is to have an externaltask precede the cgitask (or to use an event trigger, which *might* work) to set the ownership of the cgitask to that of the person who claimed ownership of the grouptask.
In either case - you will not be able to have the cgitask start immediately when following a grouptask (except for a possible looping case, but that's obscure enough not to bother going into detail here about it.)
The limitations of being able to use immediate="t" on cgitasks is documented, I believe, in the Workflow Developer's Guide that was released with 5.5.2 SP3.
