VisualFormatter Popup menus
dlukezic
I am trying to disable (hide) some of the functions available in the menus that popup when you right-click in the visual formatter text area. Does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks,
Doreen

To remove all of the right click options...use...
Suppressing the Context Menu
The XML configuration data’s interface element has a context
attribute that determines whether context menus appear when a
user right clicks the mouse.
<config product="eWebEditPro">
<interface name="standard" visible ="true" allowCustomize="false" context="false">
If the context attribute is set to “true”, the context menu appears
when the right mouse is clicked. If the attribute is set to “false,” the
context menu is suppressed.
The default value for context is “true”.
For a list of the one off features, see page 55 of the Ektron developers guide.

Thanks for your response, but I am declaring the VF instance from a DCT and adding a context attribute does not seem to help. My code is:
<item name="Story" pathid="body">
<label>Story</label>
<textarea cols="60" external-editor="visualformat"
external-editor-config="vf_article.xml" context="false"
external-editor-inline="t" required="t" rows="10"
wrap="off"/>
</item>
Do you know how to eliminate the menus this way?
Thanks,
Doreen

I wasn't specific enough. That code is part of the xml config on the server. In your case, vf_article.xml. It is not part of the DCT.
