TPL & TeamSite 6

Hi all,
I'm looking at new features of TeamSite 6 and I'm checking new DCT of type "xml" (i.e. datacapture with location and pathid attribute to create custom XML)

If I have a custom DCR, can I still use TPL (iw_value) to access DCR fields?
I made some try, but I can't be able to print XML value :-(
