Deleting DCR should delete data from database.

Here is a situation:

I have a DCR, I am using data deploy to push my DCR data into a database.

Now I want to delete the DCR and also the data for the DCR from database. This could be true for multiple DCRs. I mean I should be able to delete data for multiple DCR by just selecting all the DCR.

Did any one had this kind of situation? If yes, how did you achieve this?

im curious also...our deletion process (which utilizes "iwodstart") only deletes the files, not the database entries (which i have to do manually)

it would be nice to do both in one step

Data Deploy should delete your records from the database also. However, if I were you, I'd never delete a record from a DB, just mark it deleted in a separate column

1) DataDeploy will surly delete the record form database if it is called in a workflow. Here, I am just selecting the DCR and deleting it from the data folder.

2) I fully agree with you. But unfortunately that's my requirement!

Do I have control over the delete menu item?

How do you synchronise with DB? I am sure if you use DAS, the deletion will also occur immediately.

We are calling DataDeploy standalone.
OnSave of a DCR.

I m also facing the same issue.As per my requirement i am deleting dcrs from the data folder.After the deletion i am running the DEPLOYMENT too.But the records are not deleting from the database.How can i delete the records from the database when am deleting that from the data folder...
