Am i stuck ?
nshetty
Hello,
My workflow is functioning but there is a problem. When I the Run Job button in the workflow template window, the tasks in the workflow gets executed as expected but the window just doesn't go away. After few second it says "submitting files" and it stays there. While this is happening all the task gets executed. I have several update tasks, submit tasks, user tasks and one external task in my workflow. iwcallback is working fine.
Don't know why this is happening. Any suggestions please?
Thanks :-)

It would probably help if you posted the wft (as an *attachment*) and specified what version of TeamSite you were using (including Service Packs and patches) on what platform.
Without that information - it's all speculation (like perhaps your start task is a cgitask and it's taking a while before it gets the information it needs to redraw the screen?)

Yes, you are right. My start task is a cgitask. Please find the attached wft.

Do you have pre-selected files before you run the workflow? If so - how many?
My guess is it's just taking a while for that cgitask to perform all of its checks - and thus taking a while before it updates the browser window. cgitask's that are immediate start tasks will re-use the same window as the workflow instantiator and thus it looks like nothing is happening until the cgitask finally writes to the window.
I believe somewhere in the forums, and/or available from Interwoven Support is a tidbit of javascript that you can augment the workflow instantiator CGI so that the Run Job button gets greyed out when clicked on, and thus you'll have some indication that you've actually initiated the workflow and avoid the problem of someone clicking on Run Job multiple times ... It won't make it go any faster, but it will avoid some potential problems that are often the result of such situations.

Yes , I have preselected files. But for testing purpsoe I am just using one file. Just wanted to make sure if there is anything logically wrong with the workflow.

Did you ever get this fixed?
