conguring Apache

Hi,

I have Teamsite 5.5.2 SP2 running on Sun Solaris 2.8 We are using iPlanet webserver instance for serving teamsite. I now need to configure Apache and remove netscape. I found out that even after stopping iPlanet i am getting the teamsite webpages which is because of `iwgethome`/iw-webd/conf/httpd.conf file.

But i have a snag here. Previously i used to get http://localhost:81 but now its not getting. I will get the page only when i start iPlanet.

Appreciate if anyone can guide me the stpes to configure a new apache server. I am more interested to know how does Apache communicates with Teamsite. Do i need to configure any plug-in.

With TS 5.5.2, teamSite is served via its own apache server on port 80.

Sounds like you are attempting to replace your "customer" webserver with apache from iPlanet. (This is the one used in previewing files.) You would need to install your additional apache server and configure to listen on port 81. Additional configuration would need to be added for redirection into TeamSite, Alias /iw-mount/ /.iwmnt/ is present in httpd.conf and/or srm.conf file for the customer apache server. May be another step, but can't remember. I usually try to have apache server installed before we install TS so that it is automatically configured.
