Setting Class Path
holmes
We are using TS 5.5.2. We need to call some java classes through forms API. For this we have copied the required jar files in the folder /iwhome/httpd/webapps/webdesk/web-inf/lib and this code works fine. But in the long run this may have a maintenance problem for our Java code. Is there a way to set the class path so that it points to a folder outside the iwhome directory so that we avoid creating multiple copies of the jar file??
Thanks

Am I correct in assuming that your Java classes are servlets that you want accessible through FormAPI? Currently, there is no Interwoven supported way for you to include a servlet outside of this structure. However, it may be useful from a maintenance standpoint to follow the customization guidelines specified in the User Interface Customization Guide (obtainable from the support site). Since in this case there are no UI customization, all you would need to do is develop the servlets under $IWHOME/local/config/lib/content_center/customer_src, build and deploy using the given scripts. The nice thing about this is that your servlets will be preserved through future patch/upgrades of the Content Center webapp.
