Schedule Deployment
sparc_69
Hi folks,
is it possible to inject any variables into a scheduled deployment as it is possible with iwodstart with the -k switch?
The thing is, that I need to perform a scheduled deployment that deploys a list of files.
Any other ideas?
Thanks a lot.
Regards
Juergen

I believe OpenDeploy 5.6 allows you to include command line parameters with scheduled deployments. OpenDeploy 5.5x does not.

HI Sparc_69
You can also use the iwodstart command and wrtie a CRON Job (unix) or schedule task (windows). We even extend this to connect to a Database, so that we could control the parameters that we pass to the task, as well as allow multiple parameter passing easily with out the need to rewrite the task.

Yes, as of OD 5.6, both parms and instance value are supported for ad hoc and scheduled deployments from both the command line and Admin UI.
