teamsite: different extensions for diff. branches?

Henrik

hi,

is it possible to choose a different file preview-extension for each template depending on the branch?

what i want: if i use template "content.tpl" in the branch "TESTbranch" the extension should be ".jsp" and otherwise it should be ".html"

i tried something similar to the following entry in templating.cfg, but it did end using .jsp for all cases. (i would have expected a .html-default though)

<!-- TEST workarea -->
<category name="mydata">
<locations>
<branch vpath-regex="main/TESTbranch" />
</locations>
<data-type name="mytype" dcr-type="iwov">
<presentation>
<template name="content.tpl" extension="jsp">
<locations>
<branch vpath-regex=".*" preview-dir="/preview/">
<directory dir-regex=".*" />
</branch>
</locations>
</template>
</presentation>
</data-type>
</category>
<!-- /TEST workarea -->

<!-- LIVE workarea -->
<category name="mydata">
<locations>
<branch vpath-regex=".*" />
</locations>
<data-type name="mytype" dcr-type="iwov">
<presentation>
<template name="content.tpl" extension="html">
<locations>
<branch vpath-regex=".*" preview-dir="/preview/">
<directory dir-regex=".*" />
</branch>
</locations>
</template>
</presentation>
</data-type>
</category>
<!-- /LIVE workarea -->

[All Untested] Try switching the order of the declarations. Normally I would think first-match-wins, but sometimes last-match-overrides. You might also try a combined approach like:

<category name="mydata">
  <locations>
    <branch vpath-regex=".*"/>
  </locations>
  <data-type name="mytype" dcr-type="iwov">
    <presentation>
      <template name="content.tpl" extension="jsp">
        <locations>
          <branch vpath-regex=".*/main/TESTbranch" preview-dir="/preview/">
            <directory dir-regex=".*"/>
          </branch>
        </locations>
      </template>
      <template name="content.tpl" extension="html">
        <locations>
          <branch vpath-regex=".*" preview-dir="/preview/">
            <directory dir-regex=".*"/>
            <!-- possibly a horrid regex like ".*/main/([^T].........|.[^E]........|. . .)" -->
          </branch>
        </locations>
      </template>
    </presentation>
  </data-type>
</category>

Again, this is all theoretical, I haven't tried any of this out.
