Email if replied to post

Maybe this thread has already been started...

I try my best to keep up with the DevNet posts but often I need an answer to a question and don't have time to check back everyday or even every few hours.

I have seen other forums offer this feature. Would it be possible to offer this feature to devnet posts in the future?

It could be in the control panel as an option "Would you like to be notified via E-mail if someone replies to your post?", YES/NO

There is a option "Email all relies to my real email address" when you post or reply to the forum.

When "Yes" is selected for the option "Do you want all replies to posts that you make emailed to you?", then a reply will be emailed to you if the reply is started by clicking the "Reply" link next to one of your posts. However, you won't necessarily see all subsequent postings to the thread because some of the follow-up messages may be sent in reply to other users.

If a topic is really important to you, you should check back.

I think he wants it as a default, & probably for followup messages as well.

There is supposed to be email notification for the forum software. We're testing a newer version in house, to see if this works on the newer version. It would allow you to get email if any post is made on a given board.

I know this is a desirable feature.

When you say an e-mail when replied to board do you me to a posting.

Meaning I just want an e-mail sent to me if just my individual post is replied to not to any other posts.

So the featuer would be on a post to post basis
