VisualFormat Background Color

Anyone out there know how the set the background color in visualformat? We have several sites managed by TS some of which are white text on black background. We need to reference the site stylesheet to limit users on their font selection; however, white text on a white background in VisualFormat makes that a little difficult.... I know there's an option to set the background globally in the ewebeditprodefaults.js, but this will not work for us since not all of our sites have this color scheme.

We're using TS 6.0....
