TeamSite 5.5.2 SP4 Patch for External Tasks and Deadlock with TeamXML
Well I was just reading this notification on Teamsite support site (article = 50609) and it referenced 3 bug reports that it has fixed. i.e. 45392, 45944, 46696.
I go to look up the details of these bug reports to see if i am effected and it tells me the documents are restricted access documents.
What is the point of telling us that it fixes bugs 45392, 45944, 46696 if we cannot find out what the bugs are?
2nd question is what level of access do i need to get to view these restricted access documents. I am sure my company spends a **** of a lot of money on this product and we should be entitled to see what is wrong with it, if its a published document.

Information on patches and releases is on the support site. Any customer with current maintenance has access to this site. We recently introduced the ability to add additional people (named users) for support access.
DevNet is a developer community. You need not be a current customer on maintenance to visit DevNet. Support has the superset of knowledge base articles. Any article you can view on DevNet, but not necessarily the other way around.
We are investigating improving how we can easily integrate the logon capability for those of you who have accounts for both support and devnet.

Lissa,
I have access to your support site, but yet there are still restricted documents that I cannot get to that Interwoven allow others to see. I 'stumbled' upon this as i was sent a notification of an OpenDeploy 5.6.0 Service Pack, so i went on to see if anything else had been released without us being notified. Saw this one and wanted to find out the bugs that it was inteneded to fix.
How can we say its a successful installation if we dont know what it has been fixed? and ok i know most of this should be directed at the support people, but it just seems so stupid.
It infuriates me that Interwoven can selectivly inform their users of which Products they will issue an email announcement. You have records of what we are licensed to run and I am sorry its not that hard to link these things up.
btw this is not a go at you but probably "cant wait to get out of work on friday blues"....

I will check with someone in support to see if they can determine if there are issues with what alerts you receive. As an IWOV employee, we don't get them, so I don't know how they work.

The support site is personalized on a per user basis, not just a company basis. Thus, if you go to
https://support.interwoven.com/preferences/masterpref/tabYourNotifications.asp
you can choose what types of notifications you want and from their click a link to choose what products you want to receive information about.
This way, a user, whose company owns many Interwoven productrs, who is in charge of only one specific one can receive information only on that.
We will be improving the way notifications are posted on the site this month so hopefully that will make things easier for you as well. Please email me at
nodiseos@interwoven.com
is you have any further questions.
