how to control DCR name

Our web site has english pages and french pages. They are distinguished by having either _e or _f in the filename, e.g. search_e.html.

We want to enforce the same usage for some DCRs. I have tried

IWEventRegistry.addFormHandler("onSaveNameSpecified",doDCRName);

function doDCRName() {
var dcrName = IWDCRInfo.getDCRName();
if(dcrName.substr(dcrName.length - 2 != "_f") {
alert("The filename must end in '_f', e.g. " + dcrName + "_f.");
return false;
} else {
return true;
}
}

Problem is that IWDCRInfo.getDCRName(); only gets file name for an existing DCR, is null until file is actually saved.

Is this even possible? Still new at this. Thanks, Hans

So, your handler gets the path that the user typed in passed to it. Here's your function with necessary changes.

function doDCRName(dcrName) {
    if(dcrName.substr(dcrName.length - 2 != "_f") {
        alert("The filename must end in '_f', e.g. " + dcrName + "_f.");
        return false;
    } else {
        return true;
    }
}
