callout from Workflow

Hi,

is it possible to make a callout using the wft file.if so how can I achive that?

please give some tips on it.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

In general - the term "callout" is usually applied to TeamSite Templating, and metadata, data capture templates - not workflows / workflow templates. Workflows provide the ability to have cgitasks for user-interaction.

So - if you can explain in more detail what you are trying to accomplish, it will be a lot easier for someone to provide you a detailed response.

Actually what i am trying to do is.

In an workflow input screen i need to browse thro the teamsite workarea and select the folder what ever i want.
so that i can use that value in my external task to proceed further.

I know this can be achieved in Template using callout.

if there is anyway to do this in workflow.

So you want to use a browse button in the workflow instantiation screen. Well, as the TAG_info() elements take HTML, and you can create buttons in HTML that will invoke CGI scripts, and you can use javascript to associate values with form fields from parent windows .... you can probably do what you want - it will just take a bit of coding and a fair amount of testing.

I don't have any code to offer for this, perhaps someone else will, or perhaps you'll figure it out on your own...
