Using OD and DD transactionally without DAS?
System
Is it possible to use OpenDeploy and DataDeploy in sequence, transactionally, using only standalone deployments (and not DAS)? If so, how?
Thanks!

Dave,
I certainly believe so and I think it is documented in either the OD or DD manuals...
my understanding is that you kick off your OD first. It deploys the files in a transactional manner (so they are all sitting there with the .new extension). If that much has been successful then you get it to kick off your DNR script which runs your DD. The outcome of your DD is fed back to OD to tell it whether or not to complete the deployment or roll it back the file transfer.
That way (in theory) you have had either both OD and DD completed or neither.
I hope this is what you were after?
Cheers

Dave,
If you are using OD 5.6, you can find the information you are looking for in the OpenDeploy 5.6 install guide (od.560b.inst.pdf), Chapter 3, OpenDeploy-DataDeploy Integration - on page 87.

There was also a devnet webcast on this topic. The recording and slides should be available on this site.
