DNR at Target Server Failed
fyyap
I would like to run a batch job in target server after files deploy from Teamsite Server (Unix) to a target server (windows 2000). The file deployment is successful but the batch file not running.
My DNR Script:
-----------------------------------------------------------
<deployment transactional="no" >
<execDeploymentTask useDefinition="DefDRIB" >
<deployNRun>
<dnrDeployment location="target" when="after" triggerPoint="disconnect" state="always">
<script cmd="D:\Interwoven\OpenDeployNG\conf\examples\samples\sample_script.bat" as="" where="D:\Interwoven\O
penDeployNG\tmp" async="no" />
</dnrDeployment>
</deployNRun>
</execDeploymentTask>
</deployment>
Source Server
----------------------
Platform: Unix
OD version: Version 5.6.0.1.0 Build 21220 Interwoven 20030618
Target Server
----------------------
Platform: Windows 2000
OD version: Version 5.6.0.0.0 Build 15978 Interwoven 20030121
Please advise. Thanks a lot.

Have you tried applying SP1 to the target server?

I don't think you can run a DNR on the target after disconnect.

Sigh - that was my first assumption too, and then I got thrown off by the example at the bottom of page 207 in the OpenDeploy Administration Guide - Release 5.6, but if I had looked a bit further in the OpenDeploy 5.6 SP1 Release Notes (page 60) - I would have seen the clarification for page 207 and stuck to my initial thinking:
(
some emphasis added
)
Page 207
The section "Selecting the Task-Level Deployment Stage" lists a series of pairings of the when and triggerPoint attribute values. No mention is made of whether each pairing is supported on the source side (location="source") or target side (location="target") of the deployment, implying that they are supported equally on both sides.
However, the following pairings are
only supported on the source-side, not the target-side
:
At the beginning of the task:
when="before" triggerPoint="connect"
At the beginning of the transfer of content:
when="before" triggerPoint="transfer"
At the end of the task:
when="after" triggerPoint="disconnect"
