event manager failing to start on teamsite 6

I have installed teamsite6 on solaris 8 . During installation the 'iwstore' value is selected as the directory '/opt/softwares/rm_store/'.
This a virual directory linked to a directory of a remote machine. I have set the permission of the remote directory as '777'.
The teamsite start operation is failing with the following messages in iwtrace.log .

I cheked the directory of the remote machine. Only a emplty direcotry 'events' is created there during the teamsite start operation.
If anybody can provide any information on this that will be very helpful

You're probably best off filing a case with Interwoven Support for this one.
