Hi,
When we set metadata for a file, i want to display directory name of that file.

Example: y:\default\main\....\workarea\work1\directory1\file1.htm.
Assume iam trying to set metadata for file1.htm, then i want to display that directory1 in metadata screen.

Iam not able to do any scripting in metada screen, how to go about this.

Assuming you are talking about TS vers 5.x, there isn't much flexibility with the built-in metadata capture form.

If you need more whiz-bang, one option is to create a custom menu item and implement the functionality you need within a CGI script. For example, you could add your own Set Metadata custom item in the File menu and allow authors, editors, etc to access it. Your script would then implement whatever is needed and make calls to the iwextattr command to get/set extended attributes (metadata).
