Inheritance

Is it possible to have inheritance in DCTs, DBSchemas and presentation templates? I have some generic DCTs and certain other DCTs that use most of the generic content and just have a couple of additional fields. Is copy/paste the only way to achieve this? Maintenance is becoming a big headache this way - having to change (and test) multiple places just for a simple change. Any suggestions please.

For DCTs, inline callouts may help alleviate things. Or you can create your own template for DCTs - creating them with a simple script and token-filled text files.

For presentation templates, iw_include might help you out.

For DB schemas, are you referring to DataDeploy? If so, DD has its own form of includes, don't recall just now, but they might be handy.
