iManage & Excel on IE

Hello,
We've got this persistent error that gets poping up whenever we open a excel document in IE. It refers to 'Failed to retreive FileSpec Atom'
Does anyone know if there are issues with excel documents opened in IE. BTW, we are using Office 97 with iManage DS 6.5 over here
