How to Uninstall SP4
Priya_N
Hi
We are running TS 5.5.x after applying SP4 some issues cropped with an existing application.
Will applying SP4 change any existing process or files.
Does it modify any teamsite config files ?
More importantly How do we revert back to the Old setup which was present before we installed SP4 ?

Hi,
hope this helps:
Uninstalling from Windows
Complete the following procedure to uninstall the TeamSite service pack from Windows
systems:
1. Select Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
The Add/Remove Programs window is displayed. Note that this process may differ
depending on the version of Windows you are using.
2. Select Interwoven TeamSite 5.5.2 Service Pack 4.
3. Click Change/Remove.
The Service Pack Rollback window is displayed.
4. Click OK.
Uninstalling from Solaris
To uninstall the TeamSite service pack from a Solaris system, follow these steps:
1. Log in as root.
2. Navigate to the location where the backed-up TeamSite 5.5.2 files reside. This directory
is a peer to your iw-home directory, and is named:
/IWOV_Upgrades/TeamSite/5.5.2/5.0
For example, if your iw-home location is:
/usr/Interwoven/iw-home
then the backed-up file directory location would be:
/usr/Interwoven/IWOV_Upgrades/TeamSite/5.5.2/5.0
3. Enter the following command at the prompt:
./uninstallsp.sh
This command begins the uninstallation process and displays a list of files to be rolled
back or removed.
4. Enter y to uninstall the software.
The uninstallation program does not remove the directory that contains the expanded
installation files, including the installation script. You must delete that directory manually if
you want to remove it.

Hi
Thanks for your reply .
I ran the following command as root find / -name uninstallsp.sh to find out where the uninstall files reside
I got the following output
# find / -name uninstallsp.sh
/opt/Teamsite_Installfiles/sol_od560_sp1_21220a/content/uninstallsp.sh
/opt/OpenDeploy56/IWOV_Upgrades/OpenDeploy/5.6.0/1.0/uninstallsp.sh
cannot open /proc/16231/fd: No such file or directory
cannot open /proc/16231/object: No such file or directory
The above I guess is something related to opendeploy and not related to TS.
iwversion returns something like iwserver: 5.5.2 Build 26949 Interwoven 20031029
From the version information I geuss its latest version......
Now That there is no file as uninstallsp.sh ,How do we find if SP4 is installed correctly.
Is there any correaltion between the Build information diaplayed while running iwversion ?.

Hi,
Tell me, what is the path for your Temasite installation?
Bruno
Priya_N
/opt/teamsite/iw-home
There is no dir as /opt/teamsite/IWOV_Upgrades
Bubas_IWOV
But if you look at /opt/IWOV_Upgrades do you have anything in there? normally Teamsite sets this directory at the same leve as iw-home.

There is no /opt/IWOV_Upgrades dir.
Just because I could not find any IWOV_upgrades Dir I ran the find command to finf out where the uninstall.sh file is .
There is just one IWOV_Upgrades dir and that is in /opt/OpenDeploy56/IWOV_Upgrades
Any Suggestions ?

To be honest, the only thing that comes to my head is that probably SP4 was not installed, have you tried to re-run the installer and see what it says to you?
Priya_N
Does the version info dispalyed by iwversion suggest anything
# ./iwversion
iwserver: 5.5.2 Build 26949 Interwoven 20031029
#

I keep on saying try to re-run the installer if its already install you will get a message stating that if not, is going to install again.

Yes, you are correct. If you check this page on the support site:
https://support.interwoven.com/kb/kb_show_article2.asp?ArticleID=50326
You can see that Build 26949 is 5.5.2 SP4 on Solaris.
Hope this helps.

If your IWHOME is /opt/teamsite/iw-home, and the build number matches up to SP4, and there is no /opt/teamsite/IWOV_Upgrades directory - it sounds like someone deleted the IWOV_Upgrades directory (perhaps they thought they were saving space?) - in which case I think you may be SOL and would have to uninstall everything and reinstall everything from the ground-up.
However - before you go that route - I'd strongly encourage you to contact Interwoven Support and see if they can work with you to resolve the problem in a more graceful manner.

I asked some folks in engineering to look at this post, they had nothing new to add, please contact support if you are still having issues.
