OD 5.6 on RHEL 3

here are the errors I keep getting in my kernel log:

application bug: java(7993) has SIGCHLD set to SIG_IGN but calls wait().
(see the NOTES section of 'man 2 wait'). Workaround activated.

As it says, workaround enabled, so OD works as it should. They are just annoying. OD 5.6 ships with IBM 1.3.0, I guess I can try to upgrade JRE to IBM 1.4.1 that is available as an extra for RHEL 3.

OpenDeploy 5.6 is not supported on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.

We are looking at supporting this platform in the next release. You might consider contacting Tech Support to add your company to feature request #47130.
