auto-name Generated filename for given DCR

Has anyone discovered a way to automatically set or pre-populate the filename for the Generate dialog within the datacapture form? Using FormAPI? (Not interested in workflow solutions)

For example, say we have a field named 'Filename' in the DCT/form.

When the user hits the Generate button, we'd like to see that filename show up in the dialog window:

Output File: _______

Call it "path/filename assistance". Don't worry about checking if the file already exists, etc, I think we've got that covered.

Anyone?

The only thing I can think of is to override the "Generate" button behavior. Of course, there's no *supported* way of doing that, but I've got some javascript that I've used to completely change the button. (We actually replaced the image with a custom "Help" image and made the button launch the customer's customized template help). If you'd like to see it, I could post it. Be warned, it's almost guaranteed to break in 6.x

Here it is. Like I said above, this is unsupported and almost guaranteed to not work in TS versions other than 5.5.x

Note that, every now and then, I have seen it fail to do anything. I'm really not sure why, but you can try tweaking the timeout.
