Template Based Email question

My objective is to display the value of a field from a template (DCR) attached to a workflow inside the Subject of the Template Based Email.

I assume I must use the dcr.workflowinformation to attempt to get a handle to the DCR -- something like dcr.workflowinformation.task[0].files ... -- but I don't know if I'm heading down the wrong road. Is there a better way to get the value of the DCR field? Should I look into setting the field value to a variable from the workflow that the Template Based Email could pick up.

Any ideas would be helpful.

The files element under task[0] will give you the area relative paths of the attached files. Combined with the areavpath of the task you should be able to derive file system paths to those files. You can then read the contents of these files and modify them if desired.

Something like the following:

Of course, if you are expecting multiple files you could define $iwmnt and $areapath outside of the loop body.
