Data Deploy Folder delete Problem

Hi,

I wonder if anyone experienced this kind of problem before. We use DataDeploy to synchronize with the database and whenever the user deletes a folder that contains DCRs inside the DCRs do not get deleted from the Database. The DD receives the path to the directory that was deleted but is not smart enough to conclude that all the DCR's within that Directory are deleted as well and does not remove them from the Database.

This looks like a major problem with DD. I am sure someone else must have experienced it before. We are currently using DD 5.5.2

Hi,

We did contact TechSupport about half a year ago about it and the case is still open. Ie: they were unable to solve it for us. I was hoping that maybe someone actually found a workaround for this one. I do not believe people accept the way this works at the moment.

We had a similar problem when we were trying to call DataDeploy from a DNR script.
It was only deleting folder names from the database and not the inside contents.
We developed our own script to recursively read the folder to be deleted and create the XML dump file
that is used for deleting entries from the database.
