dir-regex usage in templating.cfg
ashokc
Hi,
I have a 'data-type' configured as follows, so that it would only generate files to the directory "lessonslearned/sessions" under the user's workarea. That seems to be imposed by Teamsite correctly, i.e if I select an another directory, it would complain and not generate the output file.
But the file browser window opens to the root of the workarea, NOT the allowed location "lessonslearned/sessions". Because I am giving a regex that can only match with ONE location, I am not sure why the file browser window open up to that location to begin with. Is there a way to make the file browser window to automatically open to the allowed directoy? Thanks for your help

This has been asked many times in the past - the regex only comes into effect when you try to save the DCR - it has *no* effect on the directory location used for initializing the Save browsing dialog box.
The solutions for this are (a) handle the creation of the DCR via a workflow and don't allow the users to select Save or Save As in the DCT form [formAPI to disable those buttons], or (b) simalarly to 'a' - disable the Save and Save As buttons and provide your own Save callout button in the DCT form - that way *you* control the browser functionality.
