Content Migration from ver 6 to 5.5.2

We require to migrate our project (branch) from Teamsite 6.0 on Windows2000 Server onto Teamsite5.5.2 on Solaris Server.

You will only be able to do this at the file level not at the backing store level - i.e. file history will be what you make it (in terms of where you copy files from and submitting them over and over) and will not have the correct dates associated with them.
Probably what I would do would be to set up OpenDeploy to operate on both servers and:
[if no historical versions needed]
Deploy from the staging area of each branch on the TS6W2K server to a workarea (that you've previously created) on a target branch on that 552 server, perhaps with a DNR script to do a submit and publish on the target side after success.
[if historical versions desired]
Do essentially the same thing as above, but deploy from edition areas on the TS6W2K server and do so in the order from oldest historical edition to most recent historical edition.

All the branch / workarea structure will need to be replicated (or mapped) beforehand.
