iw.cfg issue

Hi,

I´m having some problems with iw.cfg file. The thing is that I don´t get the changes made on it working. I´ve tried to disable menu items, configuring the name of "branch", "workarea", i tried to add custom menu items and so on but when I reset the server (i do a iwreset -ui) chages don´t appear to work. I have renamed the iw.cfg to check if I´m changing the correct file and the system crashes so the file I am changing is the right one. I´ve run out of ideas... Anyone has had his problem before?

Which OS are you on? If its Solaris, then you need to change the /etc/iw.cfg (etc folder in the root) file and not the file in $iw-home/etc/iw.cfg.

try refreshing your browser, that is also required.

Also, is this a menu on WebDesk or WebDeskPro ? WD menus are a little more finicky, they take their time in showing, not showing, etc.

First, thanks a lot for your suggestions. I´ve tried both things but still not work.

1.- I´m working on a NT OS so changing the c:/iw-home/etc/iw.cfg file. I know for sure i´m changing the right file as I tried to remove it or either write no sense stuff on it and the system crashes with this changes.

2.- I´m working with Interwoven v6, logging into Professional interface but the changes in the menus (for example) don´t show up.

Have no more clues.... Smiley Sad

Did you try making your change then just doing a iwreset without any of the attributes
