LauchPad Applet

To import files from local PC to TeamSite 5.5.2, it requires a LaunchPad java applet.

When I use some external testing tools, it fails to simulate the import action. I think it may be due to the limitation/nature of the applet.

Are there any guys out there know how I can simulate the import action without using the applet?

Why are'nt you using the "Launchpad" Applet for uploading files?

Try using Launchpad application instead of the applet. That might work with your testing tool. I think Launchpad application is no longer supported by Interwoven but would work for your piece of testing.

You could write a custom menu item which uploads the file with a form (<form method="post" action="{FORM_ACTION}" ENCTYPE="multipart/form-data">) The problem you will face are that it is only possible to upload one file at a time and since the cgi_wrapper can not deal with mulltipart/form-data you can tun into problems with Last Modified (e.g. iwui for cgi`s).

You might need to describe exactly what you're trying to
test, and what you're doing more fully..

There is no public API to call LaunchPad, if that's what
you want to do, but...

If you only need to get files from the client to the server
you might be able to create a CGI on the server that
uses samba to copy them off the client, for instance, if
that's all you need to simulate...
